Asian medicine views health as a dynamic equilibrium shaped by our relationship with the natural world, the changing seasons, nourishment, activity, rest, and emotional life. In this presentation, Dr. Armstrong shares the deeply personal situation that inspired her to pursue a degree in biomedical engineering and her eventual transition to acupuncture and Asian medicine. She will introduce the foundational principles of ancient medical traditions, demonstrating how they analyze holistic patterns rather than treating symptoms as isolated events. She will show how Asian medicine directly addresses health concerns such as pain, sleep quality, digestion, stress, inflammation, and vitality. Finally, she will offer practical advice on living in harmony with bodily rhythms through everyday choices that can strengthen resilience, comfort, and well-being.
