Join us on July 8th to discover how a nearby local organization, Therapeutic Riding of Tucson (TROT), harnesses the unique bond between humans and horses to foster physical, emotional, and psychological healing. The results are life-changing benefits to individuals with disabilities and special needs.Margaux DeConcini will describe the diverse range of equine-assisted programs offered by TROT including therapeutic riding, equine-assisted learning, and hippotherapy, each designed to promote personal growth, social skills, and overall well-being for participants of all ages. She will explore with us the profound impact of the human-horse connection, backed by scientific research and heartwarming success stories that illustrate how these majestic animals help build confidence, improve mobility, and enhance the quality of life for countless individuals.

TROT in action

Margaux is a native Tucsonan whose belief in the power of TROT first stemmed from her volunteer experience at TROT when she was in high school. Margaux has always been involved with horses through 4-H and local shows. In addition, she has always understood the healing properties of the human-horse connection which led her to complete a Master of Social Work degree through the University of Southern California. There, she focused on social change and innovation with a special concentration on equine-assisted therapies.A dedicated and passionate advocate in the nonprofit sector, Margaus is renowned for her extensive work in championing social causes and community development. With a strong background in organizational leadership and a deep commitment to making a difference, she has spearheaded numerous initiatives aimed at improving the lives of marginalized and underserved populations. Through her unwavering dedication, Margaux continues to inspire positive change and empower communities, leaving a lasting impact on the nonprofit landscape.
