Barbara Huff is a psychological scientist interested in understanding how individuals become their best selves across their lifespan. After she earned a Ph.D. in psychology, she managed a research lab at ASU involved in testing the influence of the brain’s working memory on achievement of life goals. She also participated in a research a project conducted by a consortium of universities aimed at discovering the link between loneliness and psychological resilience among soldiers in the US Army.  As a result of her research, she’s able to introduce us to a self-survey for gauging our current level of emotional fitness and help us discover “emotional push-ups” for building trait-specific strengths. She’ll also explain data-driven, practical steps for developing 7 essential traits of emotional strength necessary to become the best human you can be.
