Nancy Fitzgerald: Published poet, retired professor of creative writing, College of St. Scholastica; Poetry Editor of the The Village News

Monday, April 6, 2026, 3:00-4:00 pm, Koffler Great Room at ASA and zoom

Listening to poetry read aloud combined with musical interludes can help reduce stress, increase emotional connection, and enhance relaxation– acting as a “reset” button that helps an audience focus, improves retention, and deepens the artistic experience. You have the opportunity for an hour of sheer enjoyment while Nancy Fitzgerald, a published poet and retired professor of creative writing, reads poetry from her books and explains how poetry shaped her life. Magical musical interludes which capture the flavor of the poetry will be provided by pianist Jing Jin, a doctoral candidate at the University of Arizona, who will play excerpts from her earlier Arizona Senior Academy recital in March. Take this rare opportunity to “enjoy” and “reset.”
