ASA Koffler Great Room, & Zoom
With a summit elevation of 20,320 feet above sea level, Mount Denali (formerly known as Mount McKinley) is the highest mountain peak in North America. It is also one of the most isolated, so Guy Knoller had to be flown onto the glacier. Come learn how our new AV resident tried and failed and tried again and again to climb Denali.
Over a fifty-year career in the legal profession, Guy Knoller practiced in several different fields including pollution control, labor and employment, civil rights, and commercial litigation, among others. He held four different federal attorney positions for a total of six years and served as the Chairman of the Labor Relations section of the Arizona State Bar. Besides working for a law firm and as a member of several partnerships he also practiced law on his own. In his spare time he climbed mountains all over the world, including an attempt on Everest. His present interests include reading, hiking, t’ai chi, and great cultural experiences in the Village.
