While the vulnerability of the elderly to COVID-19 is well known, what are the particular symptoms, dangers, disease processes, and recovery mechanisms especially affecting seniors? Are there new research findings that seniors should be aware of? For an overview of these elusive topics, we turn to a local physician whose medical practice has involved the intersection of infectious disease with geriatrics.

Dr. William Martz graduated in 1994 from the University Of Arizona College Of Medicine. He has been a licensed physician in Arizona since 1995 and has been board certified in Family Practice since 1998. Dr. Martz has practiced in Tucson in a variety of settings including nursing home, office, hospital inpatient, emergency room, assisted living, memory/dementia units, and private homes. With extensive experience in teaching and training medical students, interns and residents, Dr. Martz is currently an Associate Professor of Family Medicine at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. Dr Martz was a previous Chief Medical Officer for University Physicians Hospital/Health Plans in Tucson.

The Academy Services Corporation of Academy Village is pleased to present this webinar for ASA members, part of a continuing series on Managing Your Own Health.
