While the vulnerability of the elderly to COVID-19 is well known, what are the particular symptoms, dangers, disease processes, and recovery mechanisms especially affecting seniors? Are there new research findings that seniors should be aware of? For an overview of these elusive topics, we turn to a local physician whose medical practice has involved the intersection of infectious disease with geriatrics.
Dr. William Martz graduated in 1994 from the University Of Arizona College Of Medicine. He has been a licensed physician in Arizona since 1995 and has been board certified in Family Practice since 1998. Dr. Martz has practiced in Tucson in a variety of settings including nursing home, office, hospital inpatient, emergency room, assisted living, memory/dementia units, and private homes.
