Great Courses

Two courses will be presented this summer. The first is “Archaeology” (Mondays) and the second, “Planets” (Friday)

Each session will start at 2:30, and will consist of 2  thirty-minute lectures, followed by a discussion session for those interested.

Archaeology: An Introduction to the World’s Greatest Sites:  Prof. Eric H. Cline, The George Washington University: A description of both the field of archaeology (what archaeologists do and how they do it) and the history of some famous archaeological sites.

A Field Guide to the Planets Prof. Sabine Stanley, The Johns Hopkins University
A tour of the solar system, including descriptions of its planets and small bodies together with the processes responsible for their features.

Creative Writing  Class

 with Carol Teal: Six-week class focussing on writing in your authentic voice whether memoir, fiction, or creative nonfiction. Leave each class with new piece of writing. Optional homework will be provided.
